Defibrillators and CPR
There are two defibrillators in the parish - one situated on the roadside wall of the Red Lion and the other in the caravan park at Bablockhythe. They are to be used if you find someone who is suffering from cardiac arrest.
A defibrillator can be used by ANYONE in an emergency because the machine instructs the user EXACTLY what to do to STEP by STEP. From the moment you get to the cabinet you are being helped - initially by the instructions on the door of the cabinet and thereafter by the voice instructions issued by the machine and by the emergency services if you are in contact with them by mobile phone.
If you follow this link you will find a brochure that describes the defibrillator machine and its use.
The Parish Council organises group training from time to time under the Healthy Northmoor initiative. If you would like to receive training please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council. To send email click here or telephone Mike Ryan at 01865 300692
